Endodontic Services

We offer a full range of endodontic treatments, aided by the latest in dental technologies. Our services include:

Root Canals – When a cavity has progressed beyond the exterior structures of a tooth and reaches the pulp at the center, a root canal is needed to remove infected tissue, clean the affected area, and reseal the tooth with a dental filling or crown.

Cracked Teeth Repair – If you have a cracked tooth, you may experience sensitivity when you bite, chew, or eat hot or cold foods. This is because the pulp tissue is exposed. We treat cracked teeth to prevent infections and alleviate dental pain.

Endodontic Retreatment – Root canals are usually successful, but there are times when retreatment is needed months or even years later. Rather than extracting the tooth, the goal of endodontics is to help you keep your existing tooth by performing another endodontic procedure.

Dental Trauma – Dental trauma can leave teeth cracked, fractured, displaced, or even missing. We can work with other dental professionals to restore your smile and eliminate pain from exposed or irritated pulp.

Endodontic (Apical) Surgery – Sometimes the tip of the root, also called the apex, becomes infected. When this occurs, we can perform an apicoectomy to remove the infected tissue.

Pulpotomy – When a primary tooth, or baby tooth, has an infected root, we perform a pulpotomy. This procedure is sometimes called a baby root canal.

Root Resorption – Root resorption occurs when the root structure of a tooth is broken down by the body. This happens naturally for baby teeth, but it can sometimes also occur in adult teeth in response to trauma, inflammation, or tumors.

Regeneration – This cutting-edge procedure uses tissue engineering to restore root canals to a healthy state after an endodontic procedure. Contemporary Endodontics of Oklahoma is one of the few endodontic practices that is able to provide this treatment option to our young patients.

After receiving her DDS degree from West Virginia University School of Dentistry, Dr. Ball continued her studies with post-graduate work at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine, where she received her Certificate in Endodontics and a Masters of Science in Dentistry.
